Built Right buildings was established in 2020 by owner Cody Krause. Working in the construction industry for over 18 years and having hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of construction, Cody was frustrated by the lack of attention being paid to building codes, customer service, and safety. So he decided to venture off on his own over the midwest, where he specialized in erecting sentinel steel buildings. In 2009 he started Cody Krause Construction located in Clear Lake, South Dakota back to his home town where he grew up. His company grew from just a few employees doing pole barns and homes to large agricultural commercial sized projects all over the midwest. While Cody was traveling to a job he could not help to notice how Oakes, North Dakota reminded him of home with friendly faces at the local small business stores, so he knew this town would be a great place to start a business in a great state.

Sentinel buildings come standard with heavy-duty 26-gauge roof and wall panels, available in a Bare, Siliconized or Polyester finish. Panels come in a variety of profiles, colors and warranty options that offer outstanding beauty and long-term protection.

Optional wainscot in contrasting colors can give your building a highly distinctive feel and enhances the appearance of any structure. Sentinel offers several different wainscot style and application methods to suit virtually any style and budget.

Add light and warmth to your building with strategically placed windows. Fixed and sliding windows are available in a variety of sizes and trim packages, and can be ordered either pre-hung or ready to assemble on site.

Whether you need just a simple access door or multiple loading/equipment bays, Sentinel’s wide range of insulated and non-insulated door types and styles can be sized and configured to your exact specifications.

Finishing the inside of your building with steel liner panels adds style and energy efficiency. Roof and wall liner panels are available in 26 or 29-gauge in your choice of standard colors. Liner panel packages come complete with trim and fasteners for installation.

Sentinel offers laminated fiberglass blanket insulation in a variety of thicknesses and R-value ratings, as well as thermal efficiency systems for both interior walls and ceilings that provide a more finished appearance while helping to make the building quiet and comfortable.

Protect your foundation and property from erosion and water damage while beautifying your structure with optional overhangs, gutters and downspouts. Made from light gauge materials and available in many attractive trim colors, these systems are hemmed for a strong, smooth and corrosion-resistant edge for years of beautiful functionality.

Sentinel offers a variety of Canopy, Mansard and Parapet exterior options that can add a distinctive flair to your structure while providing added surface for signage.

DURABLE & RELIABLE BUILDINGS

A steel structure can last for decades remaining useful during its entire life. Steel buildings can withstand high winds, earthquakes, and other events that would level a wooden structure. Termites and other pests cannot harm metal, which also retards cracking, rot, and fire.

SUSTAINABLE & ECO-FRIENDLY

Steel is 100% recyclable. In fact, a good portion of the steel used in construction today has been recycled from other uses. If, in the future, the building you construct must be dismantled or demolished, the steel can be re-used elsewhere instead of taking up space in a landfill.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT MATERIAL UTILIZATION

Steel has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any material, 25 times greater than wood. A lighter frame translates into a more cost-effective foundation and the ability to add other materials with less concern for completed building weight.

LESS MAINTENANCE

Since steel is so durable, it requires less maintenance than other building materials. The members are not susceptible to rotting and will not need periodic replacement. Colored steel coatings do not require repainting. All steel surfaces can be easily cleaned with water and detergent.

EASY EXPANSION

Once complete, a steel-framed facility remains highly flexible in how it can be used. If your client needs more space, you can add to the building through enclosing more floor space. In each case, Sentinel Buildings can precisely fabricate new members and frame elements to fit the existing building.
